Wizarding World Creations

I've been crocheting for a number of years now, but until quite recently have only made blankets and small projects. Then I discovered amigurumi...

Amigurumi (編みぐるみ, lit. "crocheted or knitted stuffed toy") is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures. The word is a compound of the Japanese words 編み ami, meaning "crocheted or knitted", and 包み kurumi, literally "wrapping", as in 縫い包み nuigurumi "(sewn) stuffed doll".

Here are some of the Amigurumi creations I've made from the Wizarding World..most of the Hogwarts characters are from Galencaixe and I have adapted her basic pattern to create Madam Pomfrey. The chocolate frog is based on a tree frog pattern I found on the internet and the Fwooper is a hybrid of at least five different pieces taken from various animals - from what I recall it has the body of an Easter chick, the wings from an owl and then a Valentine heart for the face!

I still have many more Harry Potter characters to work my way through, Harry himself is a work in progress. Then there's Hermione, Ron, Hagrid, Tonks, Remus, Sirius, Bellatrix LeStrange, Voldemort...and many more!

Stay tuned for more updates soon.
