My Luck Dragon is almost finished!

As promised in my earlier post, here's an update on my progress with Falkor, the Luck Dragon from 'The Neverending Story'.

After finishing Falkor's head, I went on to create the body...which again started out looking like a weird crocodile! I ended up threading a thick piece of wire through the tail, wrapping the wire in polyfil stuffing to stop it from coming through the wool. This gave the tail a little more shape and definition.

The legs were crocheted up in four separate pieces, I pieced them together a little differently from the pattern as I found it easier to sew the thighs to the feet before attaching to the body - this helped me to keep everything lined up evenly on both sides.

The last thing to be added as per the pattern is a line of fur running down the back of the spine and along the tail...I'm finishing my Falkor a little differently though, which you'll see in the last post of the series, coming in a few days.
