A bit of nostalgia...

After finally finishing my Luck Dragon, I was struck by the urge to seek out more knitting and crochet patterns for the toys I had growing up. Another film that I watched quite a few times was 'Labyrinth' with David Bowie as Jareth, the Goblin King. The internet was full of designs for the 'ello worm and fire creatures...and then I struck gold!

The very lovable and almost shy, Ludo!

Ludo didn't take very long to knit together as it was quite a simple stocking stitch pattern throughout.

I then got lost in the depths of the internet as I sought out even more patterns, finding Care Bears (coming soon), Fraggles (in progress), and then a Popple!

Popples were soft, rounded creatures that had a pouch on their tummy that meant they could tuck themselves inside. I had two as a child, and I think he's turned out pretty realistic.
