Here there be Dragons

When I was growing up, like most young girls, I loved to watch Disney movies. One of my all-time favourites was Pete's Dragon (1977). The challenge I've set myself for August is to try and use this crochet pattern from AmigurumiToGo:

And transform it into something that looks a little bit more like Elliott from the movie.

I've found a couple of blog posts where other people have used the same pattern as their base, but none of them really fully capture Elliott's quirky nature, so watch this space and I'll keep you posted on my progress!
