Anniversary Chess Set

I've been working on a commission requested from my Mum, following on from something that we unpacked together in last month's mould haul from Ebay. She asked for a chess set to be made for my Dad, to celebrate their upcoming wedding anniversary. Mum wasn't too fussed about the colour but did request some metallic highlights, as we'd both been watching some resin videos together on YouTube.

As they're both fans of blue and white pottery, I decided on shades of blue and white alcohol inks highlighted with metallic silver. The whole set took about a week to pour as I had to pour the base in four layers, and then duplicate the actual pieces over several evenings.

Here's the finished chess set, I've also made a box to store the board in and upcycled a blue and silver craft box to store the chess pieces in; along with a sets of checkers so that they can double up the gaming fun!
