And then there was light...

Now that the main buildings have all been assembled and painted, I cut small holes into the base layer of foam and then added a single strand of LED string lights - placing a few lights under each building before fixing the building in place with some hot glue.

For the paving, I used a 3d embossing folder from Tim Holtz with watercolour paper, spritzing the paper with a little water first to ensure that it would mould itself to the embossing folder. I then used a combination of Mica Stains and Distress Oxide inks to colour the 'paving', cutting each section into curved pieces for the pavement.

Here's the completed 'Shrieking Shack' - there's still a little more paving and decorating to be completed but it's almost finished!
