A very crafty tool...

One of the best (and probably the most expensive) craft items I have ever purchased is my Silhouette digital die cutting machine. Metal dies are great, don't get me wrong, but they can be expensive to purchase, they come in fixed sizes and the most annoying is that they don't work with all machines. Manual die cutters (the ones with a hand crank) range from a few inches (sticker size) to bulky desk top beasts that weigh more than my dog!

I love the fact that my Silhouette is compact and light, it only weighs a few pounds and is slim enough to tuck away when not in use. The versatility is amazing, I purchased my machine just before Christmas 2019 and in just a few weeks had used the machine to cut out heat transfer vinyl to make t-shirts and canvas bags for Christmas presents; card templates for Christmas Crackers; self-adhesive vinyl to make themed baubles for my tree and so much more...!

Here are just a few of the items that I've made using the digital die cuts (from left to right: a cheap hoodie that's been embellished with some silver heat transfer vinyl, a vase of everlasting roses, and a simple mini desk calendar (mid-make).
